北京外语广播Radio774是北京人民广播电台开办的全国第一家城市外语广播，她于2004年金秋时节开启了一扇让世界了解北京、让北京面向世界的多彩棂窗，向那些熟悉和陌生的朋友展示发展变化中的北京。
Radio774拥有AM774千赫、有线调频FM97.8兆赫和有线调频FM99.4兆赫等三个频率，每天6：00——24：00播出。其中AM774和FM97.8二个频率都以英语播音为主，2008年之前将实现多语种播出。她以及时准确的新闻资讯、丰富多彩的专题访谈、生动有趣的文体节目，为长期生活在北京的国际友人、赴京访问的外国旅游者、居京生活的新侨民服务。同时，拥有33年制作历史的北京电台英语教学节目，将营造得天独厚的外语环境，成为渴望提高外语水平的北京人充电的课堂。
    此外，Radio774每天都在生产形式多样的中文节目，供世界各地电台使用。
    目前，Radio774与多家海外电台建立了长期友好的合作关系，英国BBC、澳大利亚澳洲广播电台、加拿大国际广播电台、新加坡新传媒集团、以及众多富有影响的华语电台等与Radio774都有经常性的业务往来。得益于此，Radio774的听众朋友将享有一个无比丰富的听的世界。
    Radio 774 of Radio Beijing Corporation is the first English service established by a city radio station in China. It opened its window on Beijing in autumn 2004, providing intimate glimpses and insightful views of the nation’s capital to those who know the city well and those who are just getting acquainted.
    Radio 774 is broadcast daily from 6:00 AM to 12:00 midnight on three frequencies: 774 AM, 97.8 Cable FM and 99.4 Cable FM. The programs on 774 AM and 97.8 Cable FM are mainly in English. By 2008, Radio 774 will provide multilingual services.
    Radio 774 offers up-to-the-minute and accurate news and information, candid talk shows, lively entertainment and fascinating cultural programs for English speakers residing in Beijing, travelers and Chinese returnees from overseas. Listeners who are seeking to improve their foreign language skills can tune in to the English-teaching programs on 99.4 Cable FM.
    Radio 774 also delivers Chinese-language programs to radio stations around the world.
